Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 3 celery stalks with leaves, chopped
  • 1 pinch saffron
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 dasg hot pepper sauce
  • 2 Tbs olive oil
  • 3 lbs mixed fish (halibut, flounder, etc.)
  • 2 cups clam juice
  • 1 lb lobster tails (optional)
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 lb crabmeat (optional)
  • 3 large tomatoes, diced
  • 1 lb shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika to taste
  • 2 dozen clams, mussels, or scallops

Preparation

Put all ingredients, except seafood, in crockpot. Cover and cook on High for 2 to 4 hours. Add seafood. Cover and cook on High for 1 to 3 hours. Serve in heated large bowls garnished with fresh parsley with crusty bread on the side.
